About the project

Sport, Culture, and Education: Empowering Visegrad’s Children for a Brighter Future is an international initiative supported by the Visegrad Fund.

The project focuses on children living in residential care institutions across the Visegrad countries, promoting inclusion, self-confidence, and cooperation through sports competitions, cultural workshops, and educational programs. Its main international event will take place in Zlín, Czech Republic, in June 2025, bringing together over 100 children from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. The project aims to foster personal development, strengthen regional cooperation and cultural exchange, empower young participants through creative and physical engagement, and build mutual understanding and friendships across borders.

The project is funded by the Visegrad Fund.

Project Coordinator

Federace dětských domovů ČR - FICE, z.s.

The Federation is a professional, non-political and democratic organization operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. It brings together educational workers from children's homes, children's homes with schools, children's homes with special schools, diagnostic and educational institutions, as well as other professionals whose activities are mainly focused on the care of children and youth raised outside their own families.
